It’s Time to Get Outdoors!

Join us Fri 26th July until Sun 28th July on our BIG Adventure Weekend

Initial Booking Deadline: 11.55pm on Wednesday 22nd May

Potential Plus UK will be at PGL Liddington, Wiltshire for our BIG Adventure Weekend. This fun and sociable weekend provides an opportunity for parents and children to take part in outdoor, physical activities, and to make friends with other Potential Plus UK families. Children and parents do the activities together in family groups. Activities are for children aged 4+. To see what we got up to last year visit our blog Big Adventure Weekend 2018

PGL Liddington is an outward bound facility about 10 minutes from junction 15 (Swindon) on the M4. The accommodation is in 4-bedded ensuite rooms (2 x bunk beds). Families do not share, so a family of 2 would have a 4-bedded room to themselves. All of the outdoor activities are on site. We also have use of a dedicated room as a ‘hub’ for Potential Plus UK families.

The member discount code which gives a discount of £25 has been included in your latest Focus on Potential or is available when you login to your members’ noticeboard. Please apply the code when booking.

ACTIVITIES

Children and parents do the activities together in family groups.

Children up to 3 years do not take part in the PGL activities. PGL is unable to provide activities for this age range and the weekend is aimed at the older children. However, parents can bring a child this age if they are happy to look after them at all times.

Children aged 4-6 years have a programme of outdoor activities specifically devised for them, as PGL do not usually cater for this young age range. Specific activities will be decided closer to the date, but they are likely to include things like problem solving, orienteering and low ropes. Please do not book a child under 7 years onto the 7+ activities as some of the equipment is not suitable for the younger children and equipment is such that they would not be able to take part.

Children aged 7+ years can take part in a full programme of outdoor activities. Activities will be decided closer to the date, but are likely to include activities such as abseiling, raft building and tree top trail! If there is anything you would particularly like to do, please email with suggestions events@potentialplusuk.org but there will be no guarantees of activities. See all the available activities here.

Parents – most parents take part in the outdoor PGL activities together with their children or simply accompany their children outside for the weekend. However, parents can also opt not to do this. Potential Plus UK brings a wide range of books and resources that parents can access over the weekend if they prefer to stay inside.
