We’re reaching the end of the celebrations for our 55th anniversary. Our charity was set up in 1967 as the National Association for Gifted Children, to help families, schools and professionals to support children with high learning potential (also known as high ability, gifted and talented, bright, more or most able). You can read more about this in 55 Years On – Where Did It Begin?

Thank you to everyone who has helped us to celebrate and raise funds this year.

At the beginning of our celebration we asked our member families to nominate favourite books for children and young people that were published during the 55 years of our existence and we’re happy to share below some of the books that were nominated – one for each year.

Potential Plus UK is an Amazon Affiliate, which means that we earn commission through links to Amazon. If you are thinking of buying any of these titles, please click on the image/button. Each title you purchase by following the individual link for these books to the Amazon website will raise funds for us at no extra cost to yourself. Titles marked with an asterisk* are linked to a source of second hand copies or have no link as new copies aren’t available at this time but we think the books still deserve to be on our list.

Do you agree with the choices of our members? What book would you nominate from the last 55 years and what book would you nominate for 2023? We would love to hear at focus@potentialplusuk.org
