Consultancy Service

Tailored and Indepth Support: Our Consultancy Service is open to all and offers a deeper, structured 45-minute session via Microsoft Teams with a qualified Specialist in Gifted Education and Care. Before the session, you’ll complete a reflection form that captures your insights and understanding, helping us make the most of our time together. The session itself is a collaborative conversation focused on your specific concerns. Afterwards, you’ll receive a personalised summary and action plan to support your next steps with confidence. These sessions are designed for parents and professionals who would benefit from deeper, structured support around complex or ongoing concerns.

Consultancy Sessions are ideal for:

  • Planning how to advocate more effectively with your child’s school, especially if previous efforts have been misunderstood
  • Exploring social, emotional and mental health concerns such as perfectionism, anxiety, or emotional based school non-attendance
  • Developing strategies to support underachievement or disengagement including behaviour or masking
  • Making sense of persistent handwriting, processing or executive functioning challenges
  • Tailoring provision to a child’s specific strengths, interests and barriers
  • Talking through education choices, transitions or reintegration when the options feel complex or when a child has additional needs
  • Exploring how to support strengths-based identification of DME in your setting
  • Preparing for multi-agency planning meetings

Assessment Service

Objective and Holistic Insight: Our Assessment Service is overseen by our British Psychological Society registered specialist and offers a comprehensive view of your child’s learning profile using a combination of recognised tools, observations and measures. We gather detailed information from home and school, carry out a series of assessments, and provide a written report with specific, professional recommendations to support advocacy, planning and provision.

An assessment is ideal for:

  • Gaining clarity, validity and empowerment on what’s going on beneath the surface, especially where giftedness and additional needs may overlap or mask each other
  • To support and strengthen advocacy efforts with schools or local authorities
  • To support the teaching of a learner whose presentation is complex, inconsistent or hard to interpret in setting
  • To help explain why your child might be struggling, disengaging or feeling misunderstood despite clear potential
  • To contribute meaningful and professional evidence to inform EHC needs assessments, provision planning or transition decisions.

To book an Assessment for High Learning Potential, please read our Terms of Reference of our Services for Parents and Professionals and visit our Assessments for Children page.
