Badger and the Great Glasses Vault<\/h2>\n

\u00a0Trouble in the Forest<\/h3>\n

It was a sunny day and Hazel was walking in the forest when she heard CRASH! and saw Badger on the floor next to a tree.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you alright?\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cJust about\u201d replied Badger feeling a bit dazed.
\n\u201cOK good I must continue my walk,\u201d said Hazel. \u201cBi!\u201d
\n\u201cBi bi!\u201d replied Badger.
\nContinuing her walk, Hazel went 10 more steps and heard another CRASH!Borris boar appeared and said \u201cHahaha the fool. He should learn what is air and trees!\u201d
\n\u201cThat’s so rude\u201d shouted Hazel. She pulled a stone out of the ground and threw it at Borris. It hit him hard. \u201cAnd you should try to tell the difference between Squirrel and stone!\u201d she said. \u201cAnyway, why do you keep crashing into trees Badger?\u201d
\n\u201cI don\u2019t know!\u201d replied Badger
\n\u201cHmm,\u201d said Hazel \u201cmaybe we need to get you an eye test\u201d
\n\u201cOK\u201d said Badger \u201cbut where can we go?\u201d
\n\u201cI know, how about Owl?\u201d said Hazel
\n\u201cOK then let\u2019s go but how can we get there when I can\u2019t walk because I keep crashing?\u201d
\n\u201cOh\u201d said Hazel \u201cI know. How about we use the power props in turbo?\u201d
\n\u201cWhat are power props\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cSmall white boxes that work because there is a propeller in them which pushes the person who wears them slightly up to slow the fall, like parachutes but if I make the propeller go in turbo it will make you go up\u201d Hazel replied.
\n“So, I will be able to fly over trees?\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cCorrect,\u201d answered Hazel.
\n\u201cBut how do I use them?\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cJust put it like a back pack and press the green button to go up, press it again to come down, and press the red button to emergency stop\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cOK\u201d said Badger putting it on.
\n\u201cYes,\u201d replied Hazel \u201cyou\u2019re doing it.\u201d Soon Hazel heard the propeller prop going up \u201cI hope you are not scared of heights, Badger!\u201d shouted Hazel.
\n\u201cNot really\u201d replied Badger.<\/p>\n

After about 40 ft up Hazel saw Eagle \u201cWATCH OUT,\u201d she alerted Badger.
\nEagle dived at the emergency stop button and hit it. Badger plummeted to the ground at 40 mph and in 10 seconds he hit the ground and felt very dazed.
\n\u201cOh no,\u201d said Hazel, and she threw a stone at Eagle.
\n\u201cOW! I don\u2019t suppose Owl knows anything about first aid?\u201d said Badger. Then Hazel and Badger heard Owl.
\n\u201cI do\u201d he said.
\n\u201cWell,\u201d replied Hazel \u201ccan we come to your tree house?\u201d
\n\u201cOf course.\u201d replied Owl, \u201cfollow me, but you might need to carry Badger.\u201d
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Hazel. Trying to lift Badger was impossible. \u201cHe is too heavy,\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cOK then I can lift him\u201d said Owl. He stretched out his wings to lift Badger. It was easy for him. Then everyone went to Owl\u2019s tree house.<\/p>\n

\n

Peanuts and Trees<\/h3>\n

At Owl\u2019s tree house, Owl bandaged Badger\u2019s leg and said, \u201cLet\u2019s get that eye test done.\u201d
\n\u201cOK,\u201d replied Badger.
\n\u201cThis will involve looking at letters,\u201d said Owl.
\n\u201cAnd trying on strange glasses,\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cYes,\u201d replied Owl \u201cso let\u2019s start – \u00a0oh and Hazel, \u00a0do you want your eyes tested?\u201d
\n\u201cWell why not?\u201d replied Hazel.
\n\u201cSo, shall we start?\u201d Owl asked.
\n\u201cYes,\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cRight,\u201d replied Owl \u201cso first I want you to say what problems you have if any?\u201d
\n\u201cCrashing into trees,\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cNot being able to see whether my peanuts are mouldy or fine, until I taste one that is!\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cBoth not nice to have I guess,\u201d replied Owl.
\n\u201cNo\u201d said Hazel and Badger.
\n\u201cOK, now to see how you do in the letters and colours test.\u201d
\n\u201cWhy colours?\u201d asked Badger.
\n\u201cTo test for colour blindness which is where you can\u2019t see certain colours,\u201d answered Owl.
\n\u201cSo, you use the colours to test for that?\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cYes,\u201d replied Owl \u201cso let\u2019s start.\u201d<\/p>\n

Owl pushed a green button and a scroll with letters on it came down.
\n\u201cRight,\u201d said Owl \u201cfirst up Badger. Now tell me what letters you see.\u201d
\n\u201ci, e, r, t, y, u, blur, blur, blur\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Owl \u201cnow Hazel it\u2019s your turn. Read the letters out to me.\u201d
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Hazel \u201ce, r, t, o, x, z, i\u201d
\n\u201cAce,\u201d said Owl \u201cyou got them all right Hazel, but Badger got none right but don\u2019t worry it can happen to anybody and it\u2019s not competitive.\u201d
\n\u201cThanks\u201d said Badger. Owl pushed a button, this one was red. \u201cNow time for colours,\u201d said Owl. \u201cHazel you go first this time.\u201d
\nHazel started \u201cred, red, green, black, black, black.\u201d
\n\u201cRight\u201d said Owl. \u201cNow, Badger your turn, just read the colours.
\nBadger started \u201cred, blue, green, amber, black.\u201d
\n\u201cOK, now then put on these glasses and read the letters and colours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hazel and Badger tried the glasses on different settings for hours, and then Owl said, \u201cOK I shall check your results and while you wait go and choose some glasses, oh and you will need some sunglasses as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n


\n<\/strong>The Great Glasses Vault<\/h3>\n

Owl placed a key in a key hole and turned it; then a door swung open. \u201cTry as many as you like for as long as you like and when you find one you like bring it back here, OK?\u201d
\n\u201cSounds good to me,\u201d said Badger and Hazel.<\/p>\n

They both went in. Badger found a pair of goggle glasses \u201cMaybe those are a bit strange,\u201d said Badger \u201clet\u2019s keep looking.\u201d
\n\u201cOK\u201d said Hazel. They kept on looking. Hazel found a pair of automatic glasses. Badger tried them on and the second he touched them they jumped onto his face and the arms popped out.
\n\u201cWell very clever,\u201d said Badger \u201cbut those are not right either.\u201d He had another look and found a pair of invisible glasses.<\/p>\n

Hazel read the notice \u2018the problem of the look when wearing glasses is over with the new invisible glasses. Once they are placed on they blend into the background so you can\u2019t see them but when you take them off they appear again.\u2019
\n\u201cWell,\u201d said Badger, \u201cI think those could be the right ones but how do we send them to Owl?\u201d
\n\u201cI guess you press this button\u201d replied Hazel. Pointing to an arrow button she pressed it, the pair of glasses shot out at 100 mph, then Hazel and Badger heard an electronic voice and it said, \u201cthank you for purchasing the invisible glasses 1 – they will be sent to Owl shortly.\u201d
\n\u201cYes, instantly\u201d said Badger.<\/p>\n

Hazel found some heart-shaped sunglasses and pressed the button and Badger found some round sunglasses and pressed the button and then BOOM! a huge explosion caused Hazel and Badger to crash into the wall.
\n\u201cNow I know how it feels like to crash into trees.\u201d said Hazel.\u201d Then an unpleasant smell filled the room.
\n\u201cAnd I know what it\u2019s like to smell all those rotten peanuts,\u201d replied Badger.
\n\u201cWell we found some glasses so let\u2019s see Owl for our results\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Badger.
\nBadger and Hazel went to see Owl.<\/p>\n

\n


\n<\/strong>Smoke Detectors and Exotic Contraptions<\/h3>\n

Owl was waiting for Badger and Hazel, wondering why they were so long. When he heard their story \u201cWell yes, don\u2019t push 2 buttons at once because it overloads the system!\u201d he said.
\n\u201cYes,\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cAnyway,\u201d said Owl, \u201caccording to Badger\u2019s results he is short-sighted which makes him clumsy, and Hazel\u2019s results show she is colour blind which as I said a couple of hours ago makes you not see colours, so Hazel can\u2019t see the difference between a normal peanut and a rotten peanut. I can fix them both with glasses. Just give me 2 days and I will have the glasses made, you can have a sleepover with me if you want?\u201d
\n\u201cYes please,\u201d said Badger and \u201cthanks.\u201d
\n\u201cNo problem,\u201d said Owl \u201cnow in 2 days we will try them on.\u201d<\/p>\n

2 days passed and Badger went to wake up Hazel in the middle of the night! Badger knew that Hazel would never wake up just with the ring of the doorbell, so he took a smoke alarm to Hazel\u2019s bedroom and pressed the test button. Then he covered his ears and then BEEP BEEP BEEP. Hazel woke up in shock and panicked \u201cOh no a fire!\u201d and she pressed the emergency flood button (as Owl\u2019s house had so many buttons in it) SPLOSH! a giant gush of water soaked Hazel!
\nBadger walked into Hazel\u2019s room and pressed the dry button, \u201cSorry Hazel, I wanted to use a smoke alarm to wake you up,\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cIn the middle of the night?\u201d replied Hazel.
\n\u201cWell I am nocturnal,\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cMaybe you would sleep better in here with me. Come on\u201d answered Hazel. \u201cOK,\u201d replied Badger.<\/p>\n

Soon it was morning.
\n\u201cGood morning,\u201d hooted Owl.
\n\u201cMorning,\u201d said Hazel.
\n\u201cWell,\u201d said Owl, \u201clet\u2019s try your glasses now and then we can see how they work after breakfast.\u201d
\n\u201cGreat,\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Owl \u201clet\u2019s try them on.\u201d<\/p>\n

He pressed a yellow button and Hazel\u2019s bed tipped forward and a hole opened up. Hazel was in an automatic washing room. Then a blast of air like a 300 mph wind blew all the dust off her. Next another hole opened and Hazel dropped straight onto the sofa. Then Owl pressed a blue button and Badger\u2019s bed tipped forward and did the same thing as Hazel\u2019s bed and Badger landed on the sofa.
\n\u201cRight,\u201d said Owl \u201cto the dining room.\u201d He pressed a pink button and the sofa turned into 2 stools and shot straight into the dining room.
\nHazel and Badger saw the glasses in 2 white boxes with their names on them. \u2018Badger\u2019 and \u2018Hazel\u2019.
\n\u201cNow,\u201d said Owl \u201cjust open the boxes and I will set up some tests for the glasses. In the meantime, you can try them and look around, and do read the instructions.\u201d
\n\u201cRight.\u201d said Hazel \u201cthis should not be too hard.\u201d She opened the box and read the instructions \u2018How to use: unfold the arms and push down behind your ears and the glasses will become invisible\u2019.
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Badger \u201cthat’s simple.\u201d He took them out, unfolded the arms and placed them down on his ears. \u201cWhy do those trees seem closer? \u201dasked Badger.
\n\u201cBadger! the glasses work, now you don\u2019t have to worry about banging into trees, but will they work for me?\u201d said Hazel. She put them on and said \u201cIs that green?\u201d
\n\u201cThey work for you too Hazel\u201d said Badger.
\n\u201cOh yes\u201d said Hazel
\n\u201cI have found the sunglasses.\u201d replied Badger.
\n\u201cGreat,\u201d said Hazel \u201cbut it is not sunny.\u201d
\n\u201cYes, but we can try them when it is sunny.\u201d replied Badger.
\n\u201cYou\u2019re right Badger, we can do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just then Owl came in. \u201cHere are the tests\u201d he said. He had a bag of normal peanuts and a bag a rotten peanuts. \u201cNow,\u201d said Owl \u201cthese are the tests for Hazel. Just eat the right peanut.\u201d
\n\u201cOK,\u201d replied Hazel. She picked the right peanut and ate it.
\n\u201cYay,\u201d said Hazel \u201cI ate the right peanut.\u201d
\n\u201cYes you did,\u201d replied Owl. \u201cFinally Badger it\u2019s your turn, just walk outside and don\u2019t crash into trees.\u201d
\n\u201cOK,\u201d said Badger.<\/p>\n

\n


\n<\/strong>The Ultimate Highly Technical Spectacle Chase<\/h3>\n

Stepping outside Badger went 10 meters. then 1 mile and he did not crash into any trees! \u00a0BUT . . . Borris appeared and he snatched the glasses off Badger.
\nHazel had rotated the power props and placed them in turbo, \u201cTurbo props activate,\u201d she said. Then she pressed the button BOOM! Hazel shot forward like a rocket.<\/p>\n

\u201cLOOK OUT!\u201d shouted Badger.
\nHazel was heading straight for a tree. Too late! Hazel crashed right into it. She dropped down. \u201cWell,\u201d she said, \u201ctime to gear up!\u201d \u00a0It was time for the big guns \u2013 time for Badger, Hazel, and Owl to use their special backpacks with hydro launchers, sonic air shields, damage air cannons, radar, a radar deterring system, supersonic jets and a tunnel digging device!
\n\u201cOK\u201d said Owl, looking a bit worried, \u201call these are a bit complicated but we need them to get the glasses back, so let\u2019s go!\u201d
\n\u201cOK,\u201d replied Badger \u201ctunnel digging device activate.\u201d 2 large drills popped out of his backpack and started spinning. He was off!
\n\u201cRadar scanner activate, supersonic jets activate\u201d said Hazel. 3 small tubes popped out and one of them beeped then WHOOOSH! in a split second, Hazel was off.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Badger was searching underground. He hit a boulder and shouted \u201chydro launcher\u201d SPLOSH! A huge blast of water hit the rock and shattered it.
\n\u201cOh!\u201d he said, \u201cI think Borris boar will be on top of the ground.\u201d He dug upwards and heard something. \u201cRadar scanner\u201d he said. A small round tube popped out of his backpack and a pair of goggles came down. \u201cIt\u2019s Borris\u201d said Badger. He dug upwards more and found Borris. \u201cHydro launcher\u201d he shouted. The blast of water hit Borris. He charged. \u201cSonic shield,\u201d said Badger. A shot of blue light and a blast of air hit Borris and knocked him down. The glasses shot at Badger and he caught them. Then Hazel and Owl appeared.
\n\u201cWhat’s going on?\u201d they said.
