In November we featured NanoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month in Focus on Potential and 6 year old Lola P. took up the challenge.\u00a0 Written and illustrated by Lola, this is a great story about a week battling to keep evil at bay in the Cybertron Universe.\u00a0 We have tried to keep to her formatting as much as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n

Cybertron Universe<\/span><\/h2>\n

land of heroes and battles<\/em><\/p>\n

Preface<\/h3>\n

\"CybertronI\u2019m Lola. I\u2019m the one that is in the story the most, and I\u2019ll call myself \u201cme\u201d or \u201cI\u201d. I\u2019m here to tell you about a week at Cybertron Universe. Cybertron is a dimension outside our Universe. It exists in parallel to this Universe and other Universes out there.<\/p>\n

I visit Cybertron every night, or every time I am called upon by my team. We fight six days a week and rest one. In Cybertron we battle. Here is where we keep evil at bay. Cybertron is a scary place that bad guys like and battle us to keep us away. We always battle back. Cybertron is our home.<\/p>\n

Heroes from all dimensions visit Cybertron to join in the fight. We are all friends and come together to fight evil. You will find a narrator somewhere in this book as well.<\/p>\n

This is the story of many battles, as they happen and as I remember them. A week in Cybertron Universe.<\/p>\n

I will write how I remember them, from the night before this day that come upon.<\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 1<\/h3>\n

OH NO! BEN TENNISON HAS BEEN TURNED EVIL<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"CybertronOh no! Ben Tennison has been turned evil. He has the same aliens but stronger, and he will help the bad guys. If he gets used to it, he will be evil forever, so we need to act fast! \u00a0before his heart turns evil. If it does, we might as well get killed or maybe just beaten up. So, unless we find a green light to make him remember that he\u2019s a good guy, he\u2019s just going to kill himself.<\/p>\n

UUUUGGGHHH<\/em> [grunting in despair] I need Ben Tennison back!. My team says: \u201cit\u2019s ok\u201d, \u201cwe\u2019ll get him back\u201d. Until \u2026\u2026\u2026.. [pausing] \u2026they heard an evil cackle [cackles]<\/p>\n

–\u201cwell\u201d, \u201cwell\u201d, \u201cwell\u201d, \u00a0\u201cwhat do we have here?\u201d \u201csome squawky birds chatting \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u201d an albedo voice says all of a sudden.<\/p>\n

[gasp] it was evil Ben Tennison!. \u201cQuick!\u201d [I screech to the team] \u201cwe need to teleport to the battle planet\u201d. \u00a0\u201cWe have a green light\u201d. \u201cLets do it\u201d\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n

My team and I pin him down to the floor. I put the green light right on Ben Tennison\u2019s face. Once he opens his eyes, he starts grunting, and rolling, and screaming and screeching until his body turns back to his old good self.<\/p>\n

Yes: we\u2019ve got Ben Tennison back. Now: let\u2019s finish it \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..yes we\u2019ve battled them.<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m going back to Earth bye bye<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 2<\/h3>\n

BACK FROM EVIL AND ALMOST KILLED<\/span><\/h3>\n

[Lola] \u201cHi again, Team!\u201d \u201cHow\u2019s Ben doing after we got him back from evil?.\u201d I ask with anticipation. I always like to check how everyone is doing on my return from Earth. \u201cUm\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026not very well\u201d said the team. I gasp.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuys!\u00a0 what happened?\u201d [me warily] “uh\u2026well\u201d \u201cthe bad guys got so mad they threw a bomb, and Ben got caught by one of the beams, and almost died\u201d. Ben was sick, straining with poison and hurt. \u201cSo we took him to hospital to check if we can get him back, and so far no luck.\u201d \u201cHe hasn\u2019t opened and eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe realised only \u201cYou\u201d can save him\u201d [they said desperately]. \u201cUm\u2026\u2026.\u201d \u201cOkay \u2026. I\u2019ll try\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u201d I replied nervously, afraid that it may not work, but we have to try. \u201cGood: Let\u2019s do it\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"CybertronI feel his heart with my right hand. I hold my arm tight, hoovering over his chest. I close my eyes and a bright green light shine through my palm into his heart.<\/p>\n

Ben Tenninson curled into a ball. Slowly but surely opens his eyes lightly. \u201cWe\u2019ve got him back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m going to Cybertron home planet to some sweets, and food. We need to celebrate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho is coming?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am\u201d, \u201cI am\u201d, \u201cI am\u201d, \u201cI am\u201d, \u201cI am\u201d, \u201cI am\u201d, \u201cI am\u201d. The whole team replied in unison.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, so let\u2019s go\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 3<\/h3>\n

THE ILLNESS NOTHING CAN HEAL<\/span><\/h3>\n

[Lola] \u201cHi again, Team\u201d, \u201cHow\u2019s Ben doing?\u201d [I ask eagerly] Long day in Earth and you never know what you may find back in Cybertron.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, he\u2019s fine\u201d, \u201cbut young Ben caught the same illness from the same thing, and nothing can heal this one\u201d I am told<\/p>\n

[gasp]. \u201cThe only thing that can heal him is fire viper venom\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Cybertron\u201cAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH\u201d Ben howls like a wounded dog.<\/p>\n

\u201cuh?\u201d \u201cold Ben, why did you just scream?\u201d I ask.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuh!\u201d, \u00a0\u201cBecause people scream in that cave!\u201d [says Ben with a rushed, whimpered voice] \u201cbut no one\u2019s ever been there and lived\u201d [he continues darting backwards and forwards].<\/p>\n

\u201cWell. We have to try\u201d I reply in a somber tone.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m scared\u201d says Old Ben<\/p>\n

We walked for miles down a windy path. A large opening amongst the trees revealed the entrance to the cave. We rushed into the cave with no time to spare, as a cold breeze brushed against us.<\/p>\n

SSSSSHHHHHH ! \u201cyou\u2019ll wake up the fire vipers\u201d I whisper. \u201cBe careful\u201d [crackels]<\/p>\n

Poking out of the floor, shadowy figures slitting. They there are. The Vipers.<\/p>\n

Quick!\u201d \u201cSeize them!\u201d \u2013 I scream. The team jumps into battle approaching from all directions. Lion forces the mouth of a viper, as I use a stick to prompt some of the venom out.<\/p>\n

\u201cCybertron team: Quick! get the venom\u2026\u2026..\u201d<\/p>\n

As quick as we jumped it, we are out, venom and all.<\/p>\n

\u201cCybertron team: We did it!\u201d A drop of venom saved the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cYoung Ben, are you Okay?\u201d, I ask. Ben grunts: \u201cI don\u2019t know how well\u201d.<\/p>\n

At least we\u2019ve got you back so: bye bye, I say<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m going back to Earth. Great saving you, good bye.”<\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 4<\/h3>\n

NOTHING WRONG: EXCEPT THERE IS!<\/span><\/h3>\n

[Lola] \u201cHi again, Team\u201d<\/p>\n

Another day, another battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything wrong ???\u201d I said \u201cNo, except there is\u201d. \u201cThe bad guys made their own clones and who knows what bad things they could do. They could destroy Cybertron Universe or something bad like that\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u201d [the air was quiet. The mood scary]<\/p>\n

\"CybertronThere are normally only one-hundred bad guys and a billion of us, and now that the bad guys got their own clones, they are like a billion of them!<\/p>\n

I had to think fast. The clones were robots. We punched very hard through them, left, right and centre. One punch and grabbed the wires right out of their chest. And that\u2019s how we shut them down.<\/p>\n

Hard work. But that\u2019s life in Cybertron.<\/p>\n

Good we\u2019ve killed the clones, lets finish now.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going to Earth bye bye.<\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 5<\/h3>\n

NIGHT NINJA AND NINJALINOS<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

[Lola] \u201cHi again! Team\u201d \u201cAnything wrong?\u201d [Ben] [coughing] [weakly] Of course there is: \u201cBad guys are poisoning all good guys. Only you are immune to it\u201d [hits ground]<\/p>\n

[Cyborg] \u201cUh\u2026.yeah, Ben thinks it\u2019ll happen to us, but by my calculations it won\u2019t happen\u201d [Cyborg says defiantly]<\/p>\n

[Lola] \u201cWell, we have to help him\u201d I say, producing Cybertron\u2019s most powerful machine: Cybertron X-Ray.<\/p>\n

Cybertron X-Ray machine is huge. It comes out from the sky when you clap twice and say \u201cchop-chop\u201d. It slides in front of a person, showing a map of the body. Nothing escapes this powerful machine. A plus inside a circle is the sign for poison. Purple for poison, green for health. The red button gives you information to make the person better.<\/p>\n

[x-ray buzzing]\u00a0 [Lola sighs] \u201cSorry, but we need the power of night ninja and his ninjalinos\u201d.<\/p>\n

[all]\u00a0 \u201cwhat?!!!!!\u201d \u2013 \u201cUh, huh\u201d, I say.<\/p>\n

\"CybertronNinja is king. He comes at night with his army of Ninjalinos. The Ninjalinos will do anything to destroy the good guys. We need to catch them and suck the antidote. Only they have the antidote to destroy the poison.<\/p>\n

As night approaches, there they are, up to no good. My team jumps into action. We have them!<\/p>\n

The antidote is secure. The poison is destroyed.<\/p>\n

Another night, another battle.<\/p>\n

Bye\u00a0 [and went home]<\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 6<\/h3>\n

FIGHT BEFORE THE PLANET IS DESTROYED<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"Cybertron[Lola] Uh-oh: It\u2019s Syfan [gasp] he\u2019s destroying our planet, we have to stop him\u2026<\/p>\n

Syfan is a demon. He has a huge spike in the crown of his head, and two more on the sides. He has red-glowing eyes. He has claws and is up to no good.<\/p>\n

No time to think. Time to jump into action.<\/p>\n

\u2026\u2026\u2026hiya thunder fight ha crash kick [grunt] we have to work together but I don\u2019t know what to do. Let\u2019s do the power up hiya wcha waaaaaaa. I don\u2019t think this is working. We need to beat the sky drones before we can get to Syfan hmmmmm aha I\u2019ve got it\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..<\/p>\n

Hurry, release our elemental powers: fire, air, water and electricity. Balls are created and splattered into a flat pancake pad. Strong and deadly. We furiously toss them into the battle.<\/p>\n

Ha-ha the sky drones are gone for good \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s go for Syf\u2026 wait! Syfon is in my palace [I shout] Syfan You know you are going down in death when I rip your eyes out and make you swallow them. So you can see how I rip your body apart in one big scratch \u2026\u2026..whchaaa\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026waaaaaaaaa what did I say about ripping your eyes out.<\/p>\n

[narrator] Sometimes anger comes when we meet our worst enemies.<\/p>\n

The battle was won. It was back to a peaceful day at Cybertron and I went home.<\/p>\n

\n

Chapter 7: Epilogue<\/h3>\n

THE UNIVERSE IS OURS<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"CybertronAttention everyone. Do not worry. We have destroyed Syfan once, and for all. We are safe once again because of me and my team. We promise we will destroy every demon or bad guy that strikes and soon this place will be a home again.<\/p>\n

We will stand for Cybertron. We will never give up. The bad guys will never have our home. Every one of us will one day be a hero. Every villain will surrender. Fighting us will be impossible for them.<\/p>\n

This is the end of this story, but not the end of the battle.<\/p>\n

Until we meet again, be good, be safe<\/p>\n

Time to rest today.<\/p>\n
